I am a tech lover with a passion for computer systems.

A passionate, customer-focused engineer with ten years of experience in software development. A technological addict that is always pushing for the latest and the best. Attentive to details and always auditing, I am metric-driven and a calculated risk-taker. Someone who can operate at all levels, no task is beneath me. I make things happen.

I am currently working as the lead software engineer at the company I cofounded: 433Data. I develop, maintain, and optimize all the code and infrastructure we use, with a few hours dedicated to more managerial tasks. Operating the company and its products pushed both my full stack and entrepreneurship abilities to new levels.

Before that, I worked as ENACOM's computer vision manager, where I have led and participated in projects for siderurgy, mining, energy generation, energy distribution, logistics, and health care.

I'm always looking for a new challenge that will help me grow both as a professional and an individual.

F.A.Q.

An offer that is better than my current job. I'm always looking for new opportunities, but keep in mind that I'm pretty happy with my current job and it would take quite an offer to make me change.

We live in a digital era, it makes no sense to have one of those old, boring, static, overpast, printer-friendly PDF curriculums. Especially for someone that works with high end tech stuff.

Isn't this much better ?
You don't think so ?!?! Really ?
Well... I guess you can always download the boring PDF version....

Nice question !

I am not a big fan of using the intricacies of language to solve this paradox, as William F. Vallicella did. I would rather resort to math!

The simplest and most boring ways of solving this paradox can be easily perceived by any first year engineering student. In the tale, it was stated that Pinocchio's nose will grow if he tells a lie. But nothing was ever stated about what happens if he tells the truth. As any student of basic logic should know nothing can be said about the times where he tells the truth, the nose may or may not grow. So whenever he says "My nose will grow now" his nose will grow, his sentence will be true and no contradiction will be incurred.

Although that is a nice solution I would rather think that the magical being that cursed Pinocchio would not bother with mathematical formalities and actually meant that Pinnochio's nose would grow if and only if he stated a lie. That makes this paradox even funnier to solve. So here goes my take:

The nose curse was supposed to be just what its name implies: a CURSE, I will assume that it has no positive effects on Pinocchio. I will also assume that curse cannot bend the reality in a global level just to comply with Pinnochio's statements, otherwise Pinnochio could just say "There is life in other planets" or "the winning lottery ticket this week will have the number 10 in it" watch his nose reaction and effectively solve all the mysteries of the universe and/or predict the future willingly (which sounds more like a gift with a setback than a curse). Based on this two assumptions one can safely assume that the curse is based on Pinnochio's perception of a lie and not the actual reality of the statement he is uttering. Therefore his nose reaction to the statement "My nose will grow now" will depend on Pinocchio's mindset about it when he says it. For instance, on the first time he says it, he probably doesn't know what will happen, therefore he was lying and his nose will actually grow, but if he tries it again he may expect the nose to grow, as it had already done once before, thus he actually believes that he is telling the truth and therefore his nose will not grow.

And that is my favorite solution to Pinnochio's Paradox. =)
